♟️ Chess Tip of the Week

"Rooks Shine On The 7th Rank"
Rooks on the 7th rank are pigs that love to gobble up pawns. Rooks are so strong here because they can readily attack the base of your opponent’s pawn chain and trap your opponent’s king on the 8th rank.

If you are able to secure a rook (or two!) on the 7th rank during the endgame or later phases of the middlegame, you will often gain full control of the game.
