  • Event Overview: The 2025 FIDE Women’s World Chess Championship is a 12-game match between reigning champion GM Ju Wenjun and challenger GM Tan Zhongyi, held from April 3 to April 21 in Shanghai and Chongqing, China.​

  • Match Format: The first player to reach 6.5 points wins the title. If the match is tied after 12 games, tie-breaks will determine the champion.

  • Current Score: After seven games, Ju Wenjun commands a significant lead with a score of 5-2.​
